The City of Redwood Water, under the City Public Works Department, provides water for about 84,557 residents living in the Redwood City area, California. Established in 1897, the City of Redwood collects water from a surface water source, Hetch Hetchy Reservoir, purchased via the San Francisco Regional Water System (SFRWS), which is owned and operated by the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC).
