The Rowland Water District provides water for about 55,038 residents living in the area of Rowland Heights, California. Established in 1953, the Rowland Water District is currently obtaining its supply from imported drinking water from the Colorado River and from Northern California, which is delivered by Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWDSC) and Three Valleys Municipal Water District (TVMWD). The District also receives local groundwater from wells that pump water from the Main San Gabriel Groundwater Basin.
