The City of San Clemente Water, under the City Services Department – Utilities Division, provides water for about 51,522 residents living in the area of San Clemente, California. Established in 1928, the City of San Clemente Utilities is currently obtaining its supply from a blend of surface water imported by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWDSC), which is water from the Colorado River and the State Water Project via the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta; and local groundwater from wells that pump from the California Central Valley aquifer beneath Orange County.

Lead Report (2019)

A

WaterZen Rating

Lead levels in the drinking water of some cities across the United States are too high, potentially creating public-health issues for the people living in those areas.

What about San Clemente Water? How much lead is in your drinking water? And how do those levels compare to other cities in the state? We examined data from hundreds of cities across the nation to understand and grade your water quality.

As you can see, San Clemente Water received the best-possible grade because the amounts of contaminants found in the water supply were better than the Public Health Goal and most other water providers we've analyzed.
