The City of Solvang Water supplies water to about 6,126 residents living in the Solvang area of Santa Barbara County, California. Water sources include rivers, lakes, streams, ponds, reservoirs, springs, and wells. Solvang Water Division maintains six production wells, three storage reservoirs, three pump stations, a hydro-pneumatic tank, and 41 miles of water mains. Its water comes from groundwater sources, including the Solvang Wells -  four Upland Wells and two River Wells - and the Santa Ynez Water District (Improvement District #1) Wells. Additional surface water is obtained from the Central Coast Water Authority. The water is disinfected and treated with fluoride to protect oral health.
