The Westford Water Department, a public community water system under the /City/ Department of Public Works, provides water for about 18,000 residents living in Westford, a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Established in 1905, the Westford Water Department System currently obtains its groundwater supply from nine wells namely: Forge Village Well Field, Nutting Road Well, Depot Road Well, Country Road II Well, Forge Village II Well, Howard Road Well Field, Cote Well, Fletcher Well, and Stepinski Well pumped from two major aquifers in the area, Stony Brook and Beaver Brook Aquifer.
