The Village Of Algonquin Water supplies water to about 30,400 residents living in the Algonquin area in McHenry County, Illinois. The Village Of Algonquin Water collects water from nine wells, including shallow and deep water wells. Wells 5, 6, 7, and 11 are shallow wells on the east side of Fox River that provide water to Water Treatment Plant #1. Water from Wells 8 and 9 (shallow wells) and Well 10 (deep well) is treated at Water Treatment Plant #2. The water from Wells 15 and 16 is treated at Water Treatment Plant #3.
