The City of Flora Water System is a public community water system under the City Utilities Department under the Public Works that provides water to about 5,478 residents living in Flora, Clay County, Illinois. Founded in 1854, the City of Flora Water System currently purchases its supply from Gateway Regional Water Company, a surface water source that draws water from Carlyle Lake.
