The Village of Lombard Water, a public community water system under the City Department of Public Works – Water Services Division, provides water for about 43,395 residents living in the area of Lombard, Illinois. Established in 1869, the Village of Lombard Water System is currently obtaining its supply via purchase from the DuPage Water Commission through the City of Chicago’s Jardine Water Purification Plant, which uses a surface water source, Lake Michigan.
