The Village of Posen Water provides water services to about 5,987 residents in the Posen area of Cook County, Illinois. The Village of Posen Water Department purchases water from the City of Harvey, which in turn buys from the City of Chicago. The City of Chicago pumps surface water from Lake Michigan into its two water treatment plants through offshore intakes (32 to 37 feet) and shore intakes (13 to 19 feet deep). While the Jardine Water Purification Plant supplies the northern parts of the City and suburbs, the South Water Purification Plant serves the southern areas and suburbs. The Village of Posen Water is delivered through a Consecutive Connection Pumping Station at 14900 Rockwell.
