The Reading Area Water Authority (RAWA) provides water for about 87,000 residents living in the area of Reading, Pennsylvania. Established in 1994, the Reading Area Water Authority currently obtains its supply from surface water sources, Lake Ontelaunee from Maiden Creek, and its main tributary Sacony Creek, with inputs from numerous other streams, including several small tributaries that flow directly into the lake.
