The Borough of Waynesboro Water Wastewater Authority, a public community water system under the Burgess and Town Council, provides water for about 13,200 residents living in Waynesboro, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. Incorporated in 1818, the Borough of Waynesboro Water Wastewater Authority System currently obtains its supply from a blend of sources, primarily surface water from the east branch of Antietam Creek, also known as the Antietam Watershed located in Adams and Franklin Counties east side of Forge Road. The secondary source is a groundwater supply from Well 2 located along S.R. 316 Washington Township.
