The Henderson Water Department provides water for about 8,810 people living in the Henderson area of Chester County. The Henderson Water Department supplies groundwater from its Water Treatment Plant, which can produce up to two million gallons of treated water per day from six production wells that draw from a sand aquifer. Sources of drinking water include streams, springs, rivers, lakes, ponds, reservoirs, and wells.
