The Manchester Water Department, a public community water system under the City Water and Sewer Department, provides water for about 19,933 residents living in the area of Manchester City, Tennessee. Established in 1836, the Manchester Water Department System is currently obtaining its supply from a surface water source, the Normandy Reservoir, which is filled by flow from the Duck River via the Duck River Utility Commission (DRUC), a regional water authority.
