Tellico Area Services System supplies water to about 13,750 residents living in the Vonore area of Monroe and Loudon Counties. Founded in 1970, Tellico Area Services System collects surface water from Tellico Lake. The Water System consists of 241.2 miles of water lines, nine water pumping stations, and six water tanks with a total storage capacity of 7.2 million gallons. The Water Treatment Plant has a capacity of 7 million gallons of water per day.
