The Kenosha Water Utility, a municipally-owned, fiscally independent public utility of the City of Kenosha, provides water for about 100,000 residents living in the Kenosha area, including the City of Kenosha, the Villages of Bristol, Pleasant Prairie, and Somers. Established in 1850, the Kenosha Water Utility collects water from a surface water source, the Lake Michigan.
