The City of Menomonie Water, a public community water system under the City Water Department, provides water for about 15,950 residents living in Menomonie, the county seat of Dunn in Wisconsin. Established in 1859, the City of Menomonie Water System currently obtains its groundwater supply drawn from four wells in the Mount Simon Aquifer but only three are active namely: Well 4 – 394 feet deep, Well 6 – 417 feet deep, and Well 8 – 400 feet deep the other one, Well 3 - 396 feet deep was permanently abandoned as of 2017.
