The City of Richland Center Water supplies water to about 5,100 residents in the Richland Center area of Richland County. Founded in 1880, Richland Center Water Department collects water from three active groundwater wells - Well #6 in the North Industrial Park, Well #7 near the Wal-Mart area, and Well #8 on Hwy 14 close to the high school. The wells are drilled 406, 510, and 550 feet deep and can produce 1,000 to 1,200 gallons of water per minute. A fluoride additive that promotes healthy teeth is present in the City's water, which is distributed by approximately 37 miles of water mains.
