The City of Barling Water, a public community water system under the City Water and Sewer Department, provides water to about 5,110 residents living in Barling, Sebastian County, Arkansas. Founded in 1956, the City of Barling Water System currently purchases its supply from Fort Smith Water Utilities, which draws raw water from Frog Bayou Watershed. Raw water is stored at Lake Fort Smith and then treated at the Fort Smith Treatment Plant. Furthermore, Fort Smith also obtains water from the Lee Creek Watershed.
