The Bridgeview Water Department, a public community water system under the City Government’s Department of Public Works, provides water for about 16,446 residents living in the Bridgeview, a village in Cook County, Illinois. Established in 1947, the Bridgeview Water Department System currently purchases its surface water supply from City of Chicago which Lake Michigan as its source water via two water treatment plants namely: The Jardine Water Purification Plant serves the northern areas of the city and suburbs, and the Sawyer Water Purification Plant serves the southern areas of the city and the suburbs.
