The City Of Columbia Water supplies water to about 11,638 residents living in the Columbia area of Munroe County, Illinois. The City Of Columbia Water sources water from the Mississippi River through the Illinois American Water Company. The surface water is pumped to the East St. Louis Water Treatment Plant for treatment before it enters the distribution system. Chlorination may occur at one of the two City's pumping stations.
