The Golden State Water Company (GSWC) – Cordova System, a subsidiary of American States Water Company (AWR), provides water for about 47,810 residents living in the area of Rancho Cordova, California. Established in 1929, the Golden State Water Company - Cordova is currently obtaining its supply from a blend of groundwater pumped from the Sacramento Valley Groundwater Basin, and surface water treated at Golden State Water Company’s Coloma Water Treatment Plant via the Folsom South Canal from Lake Natoma, and Carmichael Water District’s Bajamont Treatment Plant via the American River.
