The Howard Waterworks, a public community water system under the Local Government Sewer and Water Division of the Department of Public Works, provides water for about 18,900 residents living in Green Bay, a city and county seat of Brown County, Wisconsin. Established in 1854, the Howard Waterworks System currently obtains its supply from a blend of sources: surface water from Lake Michigan through Central Brown County Water Authority & Manitowoc Public Utilities, and groundwater supply pumped from two wells namely: an 886ft-Well# 2, and a 785ft-Well #3.
