The Hudson Public Utilities, a public community water system under the /City/ Department of Public Works, provides water for about 17,635 residents in Hudson, a city in St. Croix County, Wisconsin. The Hudson Public Utilities System currently obtains its groundwater supply pumped from Jordan Aquifer and Mount Simon Sandstone Aquifer. Water is carefully filtered using filtration equipment installed at nine wells in Hudson and North Hudson. In addition to the nine wells and eight treatment plants, the Hudson Public Utilities water supply system contains seven water storage reservoirs totaling 3.50 million gallons, three booster stations, four pressure sustaining valve stations, and 104 miles of water distribution system mains
