The City of La Habra Water Division, under the City Department of Public Works, provides water for about 63,118 residents living in the area of La Habra, California. Established in 1925, the City of La Habra Water Division is currently obtaining its supply from a blend of surface water imported by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWDSC), and ground water imported from Cal Domestic and three wells within the City. Cal Domestic water originates from the Main San Gabriel groundwater basin. MWDSC’s imported water sources are the Colorado River and the State Water Project, which draws water from the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta. City wells draw water from the La Habra Groundwater Basin.
