The Liberty Utilities – Lynwood/Rancho Dominguez provides water for about 24,957 residents living in the Lynwood area, California. Established in 2001, the Liberty Utilities - Lynwood/Rancho Dominguez system obtains 29% of its supply from the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD). The MWD imports water from the Colorado River Aqueduct and from the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta through the State Water Project. An additional 71% came from deep wells that pump groundwater from the Central Basin Aquifer.
