The Liberty Utilities - Compton provides water for about 24,848 residents living in the Road Downey area, California. Established in 1873, the Liberty Utilities – Compton/Willowbrook system obtains 55% of its supply from the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD). The MWD imports water from the Colorado River Aqueduct and from the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta through the State Water Project.
