The Livingston Water, a public community water system under the City Department of Public Works, provides water for about 14,755 residents living in the area of Livingston, a city in Overton County, Tennessee. Established in 1833 and incorporated as a town in 1907, the Livingston City Water System currently obtains its supply from a surface water source, the Cumberland River as the main water source. One intake is located on Carr Creek impoundment (city lake) a 52-acre surface reservoir, while another is located on Roaring River to supplement the supply in the impoundment.
