The City of Lompoc Water, a public community water system under the City Department of Utilities – Water Division, provides water for about 41,541 residents living in the area of Lompoc, California. Established in 1888, the City of Lompoc Water System is currently obtaining its supply from a groundwater source, 10 wells that pump water from the Lompoc Plains Basin, a sub-basin/aquifer of the Lompoc Groundwater Basin.
