The City of Montebello provides water service to about 8,100 residents in the Montebello area of Los Angeles County, California. The Montebello Water Department obtains water from the Central Basin and the San Gabriel Valley Water Company, which treats groundwater from the Main San Gabriel Basin. The City also purchases water from the Metropolitan Water District, which treats surface water from the Colorado River through the State Water Project in northern California.
