The Village of Oswego Water, under the Village Department of Public Works, provides water for about 34,647 residents living in the area of Oswego, Illinois. Established in 1852, the Village of Oswego Water currently obtains its supply from a groundwater source, eight wells that draw water from the Cambrian-Ordovician Sandstone aquifer.
