Paris Board of Public Utilities (BPU) provides water for about 12,497 people living in the Paris and Henry County areas. Paris PBU also resales water to several nearby utilities. Established in 1938, the Paris Board of Public Utilities collects water from McNairy Sand Aquifer. The system produces 2.5 million gallons of potable water daily during the summer and 2 million gallons per day during the rest of the year.
