The Purissima Hills Water District supplies water to about 6,822 residents in the Los Altos Hills area of Santa Clara County. Founded in 1955, Purissima Hills Water District receives water from the San Francisco Regional Water System (SFRWS) and supplements it with groundwater from four wells. The SFRWS provides surface water from reservoirs in the Sierra Nevada, Alameda County, and San Mateo County, and groundwater sourced from a deep aquifer in the northern part of San Mateo County.
