The South Stickney Sanitary District (SSSD) provides water for about 30,000 residents living in the Burbank area, Illinois, including the unincorporated area of Stickney Township (Nottingham Park). Established in 1952, the South Stickney Sanitary District currently obtains its supply via purchase from the City of Chicago, which utilizes a surface water source, the Lake Michigan.
