The Southwest White County Water Association (SOWCO), an Arkansas-based company, provides water services to about 10,917 residents living in the Searcy area. Founded in 1975, Southwest White County Water Association utilizes surface water, which it purchases from different sources, including the Searcy Water System and the City of Vilonia. The Searcy Water System draws water from the Little Red River; the City of Vilonia obtains treated water from the Community Water System, Mid Arkansas Utilities PWA, and Lonoke-White PWA. The SOWCO's Water Department's water sources also include Greer's Ferry Lake, Brewer Lake, Winona Lake, Maumelle Lake, Jackson Reservoir, Quaternary System Aquifer, and twelve wells.
