The City of Tehachapi Water supplies water to about 9,094 residents living in the Tehachapi area of Kern County. Tehachapi Water obtains water from six groundwater wells pumping from the Tehachapi Basin Aquifer into five million gallons storage tanks and distributes to the customers through 40 miles water transmission line.
