Davis has multiple water providers: Davis Water and UC - Davis Water. This page provides information about UC - Davis Water.

The University Of California - Davis Water supplies water to about 48,828 residents living in the Davis area in Yolo County, California. The University Of California - Davis Water collects groundwater from six 0n-campus wells that draw from aquifers 800 to 1400 feet below the ground. Chlorine is added to the water to maintain a level of 0.5 to 1.0ppm in the distribution system. The University also draws surface water from the Sacramento River. Water from this source is pumped to the Regional Water Treatment Facility in Woodland for treatment.
