The Lindenhurst Water, a public community water system under the Village Department of Utilities – Water and Sewer Services, provides water for about 14,467 residents living in the area of Lindenhurst, a village in Lake County, Illinois. Established in 1956, the Village of Lindenhurst Water System currently obtains its supply via purchase from the Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency (CLCJAWA), an intergovernmental cooperative, directed by the communities it serves. The water is pumped from Lake Michigan and treated at CLCJAWA’s Paul M. Neal Water Treatment Facility in the Village of Lake Bluff.
