The Village of Morton Water, a public community water system under the Local Government Public Works Department comprised of the Gas and Water Distribution Departments, provides water for about 17,000 residents living in Morton, a village in Tazewell County, Illinois. Established in 1850, the Village of Morton Water System currently obtains its groundwater supply from eight wells with three water treatment plants: Water Treatment Plant #1 (123 S. Plum Avenue), Water Treatment Plant #2 (500 Detroit Avenue), and Water Treatment Plant #3 (500 Detroit Avenue), pumped from Mahomet Aquifer.
