The Village of Rantoul Utilities, a public community water system under the Village Department of Public Works, provides water for about 13,000 residents living in the area of Rantoul, Illinois. Established in 1917, the Village of Rantoul Utilities Water System is currently obtaining its supply from a groundwater source: eight wells drawing from the Mahomet Bedrock Valley Aquifer underneath Champaign County.
