Waupun Utilities is a public community water system under the Department of Public Works that provides water to about 9,276 residents living in Waupun, a city in Dodge and Fond du Lac counties in Wisconsin. Founded in 1839, Waupun Utilities System currently obtains water from groundwater sources, primarily five wells that drill into the aquifer underneath the area. These wells have a depth ranging from 611 to 921 feet and penetrate St. Peter, Prairie du Chien, Trempealeau, Franconia, Galesville, Eau Claire, and Mr. Simon formations. Additionally, it has an aggregate pumping capacity of 7.7 million gallons per day.
