The Whitewater Water, a public community water system under the City Department of Public Works – Water Utility Division, provides water for about 14,000 residents living in the area of Whitewater, a city located in Walworth and Jefferson counties in Wisconsin. Established in 1836 and incorporated as a city in 1885, the Whitewater Water System currently obtains its supply from groundwater sources, primarily five wells that draw water from the Bark River Sub-basin of the Rock River Basin underneath the City area.

WaterZen Rating

Lead levels in the drinking water of some cities across the United States are too high, potentially creating public-health issues for the people living in those areas.

What about Whitewater Water? How much lead is in your drinking water? And how do those levels compare to other cities in the state? We examined data from hundreds of cities across the nation to understand and grade your water quality.

As you can see, Whitewater Water received an above-average grade because the amounts of contaminants found in the water supply were lower than most other water providers we've analyzed.
