The Dade City Water Department, a public community water system under the City Department of Public Utilities, provides water for about 14,373 residents living in Dade City, the county seat of Pasco County, Florida. Established in 1889, the Dade City Water Department System currently obtains its groundwater supply drawn from six wells in the Floridan Aquifer disinfected with chlorine to eliminate harmful microbes and stored in two ground storage facilities.
