The Bonita Springs Utilities, Inc. (BSU), a not-for-profit water and wastewater cooperative, provides water for about 70,528 residents living in the area of Bonita Springs City, Florida. Established in 1969, the Bonita Springs Utilities, Inc. currently obtains its supply from groundwater sources: 19 wells in two well fields, which pump water from the Lower Tamiami Aquifer; and 15 wells in the Lower Hawthorne Aquifer.
