The Avon Park Water, a public community water system under the City Department of Public Works – Utilities Division, provides water for about 11,051 residents living in the area of South Avon Park, Florida. Established in 1886, the Avon Park Water System is currently obtaining its supply from a ground water source, seven wells that draw water from the Floridian Aquifer.
