The Citrus County Utilities Division provides water for about 20,698 residents living in the Lecanto area, Florida. Established in 1887, the Citrus County Utilities Division collects supply from a groundwater source, wells that draw from the Northern West-Central Groundwater Basin of the Floridan Aquifer.
