The Port St. Lucie Water, under the City Utility Systems Department, provides water for about 157,943 residents living in the Port St. Lucie area. Established in 1905, the Port St Lucie Water collects water from two independent groundwater sources, the shallow aquifer and the deeper Floridan aquifer located beneath the county boundaries.
