Established in 1837, the Bay County Department of Water & Sewer currently obtains its supply via purchase from the Saginaw-Midland Municipal Water Supply Corporation (jointly-owned by the cities of Saginaw and Midland). The Saginaw-Midland System’s Whitestone Point facility near AuGres draws raw water from Lake Huron, a surface water source.
