The City of Troy Water Division, under the City Department of Public Works, provides water for about 80,980 residents living in the area of Troy, Michigan. Established in 1955, the City of Troy Water Division currently obtains its supply via purchase from the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA). GLWA draws water from Lake Huron and the Great Lakes tributary, Detroit River.
