The City of Hermantown Water supplies water to about 5,055 residents living in the Hermantown area of St. Louis County. Water sources include rivers, lakes, streams, ponds, reservoirs, springs, and wells. Hermantown Utilities purchases surface water from the City of Duluth and operates two elevated storage tanks of 150,000 gallons at Ugstad Road/Arrowhead Road and 600,000 gallons at Ugstad Road/Hwy 53. The distribution system has 43 miles of water mains.
