The City of Mankato Water, a public community water system under the City Department of Water Services, provides water for about 42,803 residents living in the area of Mankato, Minnesota. Established in 1852, the City of Mankato Water System is currently obtaining its supply from a blend of groundwater sources: five wells that draw water from the Mt. Simon, Tunnel City - Mt. Simon and Quaternary Water Table aquifers.
